Intercom

Intercom calls can be made between the
handset and the base unit, and between 2
handsets.
Call the desired unit by selecting the
extension number (! to )), shown in the
upper right of each handset's display. The
base unit's extension number is 0.
L The base unit will display the paging or
paged handset's extension number
(H1 to H8).
Note:
L If you have difficulty hearing the other
party while using the speaker, decrease
the speaker volume.
L If you receive a phone call while talking
on the intercom, you will hear 2 tones
(page 53, 55). To answer the call with the
handset, press {OFF}, then press {C}
or {s}. To answer the call with the base
unit, press {SP-PHONE} 2 times.
L You cannot change the ringer tone for
intercom calls.
From the handset to the base unit

Handset:
Press {INTERCOM}, then press {0}.
L The base unit will beep for 1 minute.
L To stop paging, press {OFF}.

Base unit:
Press {SP-PHONE} or {INTERCOM}
to answer the page.

Handset:
When finished talking, press {OFF}.
Note:
L During an intercom call, the handset
user can switch to the speaker by
pressing {s}. To switch back to the
receiver, press {C}.

From the base unit to a handset

Base unit:
Press {INTERCOM}.

To page a specified handset, press its
extension number ({1} to {8}).
OR
To page all handsets, press {0}.
L The handset(s) will beep for 1 minute.
L To stop paging, press {SP-PHONE}
or {INTERCOM}.

Handset:
Press {C}, {s}, or {INTERCOM} to
answer the page.

Base unit:
When the paged party answers, speak
into the MIC.

Base unit:
When finished talking, press {SP-
PHONE} or {INTERCOM}.
Note:
L You can locate a misplaced handset by
paging it. (Handset locator)
L If you page all handsets, only the
handset user who answers first can talk
with the base unit.
From one handset to another handset
Example: When handset 1 calls handset 2.

Handset 1:
Press {INTERCOM}, then press the
handset's extension number {2}
(desired handset number).
L The paged handset will beep for 1
minute.
L To stop paging, press {OFF}.

Handset 2:
Press {C}, {s}, or {INTERCOM} to
answer.

When finished talking, press {OFF}.
