11 Troubleshooting

this recorder.
To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair the system yourself.
If you encounter problems when using this recorder, check the following
points before requesting service. If the problem remains unsolved,

Main Unit
No power.
Remote control does not
work.
No TV signal is received.

Press 2 (Standby-On) button on the front of the

recorder to turn on the system.
• Ensure that the AC outlet has power.
• Aim the remote control directly at the sensor on the front
of the recorder (not towards TV).
• Remove any obstacles between the recorder and the
remote control.
• Batteries are weak. Replace the batteries.
• Check the connection to the antenna or cable TV signal.
• Manually tune and store the TV channel. See chapter
'Adjust Settings – Manage preset channels'.
