Transferring a call without speaking to the cordless
handset user
KX-FC278:
After step 2, press MSP-PHONEN or replace the handset.
R The outside call rings at the cordless handset(s).
KX-FC268:
After step 2, press MSP-PHONEN.
R The outside call rings at the cordless handset(s).
Note:
R If the transferred call is not answered within 60
seconds, the call will ring at the base unit again.
Press MSP-PHONEN or lift the handset (KX-FC278
only) to return to the outside call.
8.5 Copying phonebook items
One or all phonebook items can be copied between a
cordless handset and the base unit or between 2
cordless handsets. The destination unit will save the
items in its phonebook.
8.5.1 To the base unit or another cordless
handset (using the cordless handset)
Copying one phonebook item
1. Find the desired cordless handset phonebook item
(page 22). A
2. "Copy" A
3. To copy to the base unit, press M0N.
To copy to another cordless handset, enter the
desired cordless handset number you wish to send
the cordless handset phonebook item to.
R When an item has been copied, "Completed" is
displayed.
R To continue copying another item:
"Yes" A

3. To copy to the base unit, press M0N.

2. Press M1N to display "1 ITEM". A MSETN
3. Enter the cordless handset number you wish to send
the item to.
4. Press MJN or MKN repeatedly to display the desired
item.
5. MSETN
R To copy another item, repeat steps 4 and 5.
6. After copying is completed, press MMENUN.
Copying all the phonebook items
1. MMENUN A MBNM5NM9N
2. Press M2N to display "ALL ITEMS". A MSETN
3. Enter the cordless handset number you wish to send
the item to.
4. After copying is completed, press MMENUN.
