S
ECTION
If the liquid level in the bilge is higher than
normal and the bilge pump empties the bilge
when you use the ON switch, either the breaker
for the automatic bilge pump circuit has blown
or the float switch is not operating properly.
Have it checked immediately. If the ON switch
does not operate the pump, DO NOT use the
boat until the problem is corrected.
The bilge pump automatic circuit is protected by a
fuse in the engine compartment (see Fig. 4.2.1).
The bilge pump manual circuit is protected by a
fuse in the accessory fuse block located at the helm
(see Fig. 6.4.1).

AINTENANCE
Frequently inspect the area under the float switch
to ensure it is free from debris and gummy bilge
oil. To clean, soak in heavy duty bilge cleaner
for 10 minutes, agitating several times. Check
for unrestricted operation of the float. Repeat the
cleaning procedure if necessary.
Inspect the bilge pump intake and keep it free
of dirt or material which may impede the flow
of water through the pump. To clean the pump
strainer, depress the lock tabs on both sides of the
pump and lift the pump motor.

will be adequate ventilation when you are moving
slowly.
!
