Protective bottom plate
The cooktop bottom must be installed
in such a way that the bottom is
shielded and cannot be touched.
A wooden base and front cover must
be installed if:
– no oven is installed underneath.
– the cooktop is larger than the oven or
control unit underneath.
– the cooktop and the oven
underneath are built in staggered.
The minimum distance from the top
edge of the countertop to the wooden

Sealing
The cooktop must not be permanently
sealed into the countertop when
installed. The sealing strip under the
edge of the cooktop provides a
sufficient seal for the countertop.
If the cooktop is sealed into position,
the countertop or appliance could
be damaged if the cooktop needs to
be removed for maintenance or
service.
