This handset is not designed for making emergency telephone calls: it will not function when the power fails!
You should secure an alternative phone for emergency calls.
Power Requirements
The computer will provide power to the USB Base Station through the USB connection.
Battery Requirements
The handset requires a power source of two rechargeable NiMH batteries, size AAA 1.2V 750mAh (HR11/45)
(provided). Do not use non-rechargeable batteries.
CAUTION
RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. Use only
:
rechargeable batteries. Never use non-rechargeable batteries; use recommended type supplied with this
telephone. NiMH batteries must be disposed of in accordance with the applicable waste disposal
regulations.
WARNING! The only way to remove power from the battery charger is by unplugging the power
supply from the electrical outlet. Ensure the electrical outlet is located close to the apparatus
and is always easily accessible.

too close. It is recommended that you position the base unit at least one meter from such appliances.
