Installing The Batteries This Timex alarm clock requires 3 “AAA” batteries (not included). We recommend using a well-known brand of alkaline batteries for longer life and best performance. Press the battery door locking tab in the direction of the arrow to remove the battery door.
Care/Maintenance • Protect your furniture when placing the unit on natural wood or wood with a lacquered finish. A cloth or other protective material should be placed between the unit and the furniture. • Clean the casing with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents, such as benzine, thinner, or similar materials are not recommended, as they may damage the surface of the case.

Selecting The Backlight Color This Timex alarm clock features a 7-color momentary display backlight that illuminates the clock display for easy viewing in a darkened room. 12 Hour / 24 Hour Time/Alarm Display Option This Timex alarm clock gives you the option of having the time and alarm time displayed in either the 12-hour format with PM indicator or the 24-hour format, sometimes referred to as ‘military time’. The default display setting is the 12-hour format with PM indicator.
