In case is volume of the tank is between tyschemeal values, when choosing, follow by the rule "first is larger".
In the boiler there is an expansion tank installed with a volume 6 litres.
If after calculating it will turn out that for this heating system it is necessary to have an extension tank of bigger
volume, it is necessary to install an additional expansion tank, where its value will be equal to the difference between
calculated value and volume of the boiler's extension tank (6 l).
For example: according to the calculation, the heating system requires to install an expansion tank with a volume 13
l, i.е. 13 – 6 = 7 l. Consequently, it is necessary to install additionally a vessel with a volume 7 l. On the monograph you
should choose the next bigger standard expansion tank with a volume 8 l.
Selecting an expansion membrane tank in case of using propylenglycolum as a heat carrier
When choosing the expansion tank's volume it is necessary to make sure that it is provided for operation with
propylenglycolum. Then you should count the heating system's volume or take it from the heating system's project. You
should take into account that the volume expansion coefficient of propylenglycolum is 15 - 20% than the water's. Therefore,
the expansion tank must be approximately 15% of the heating system's volume.
For example: If the heating system's volume is 120 liters the expansion tank's volume must be 18 liters.
