Place the saddle in the bridge saddle slot
and place the nut at the upper end of the
fingerboard. Note—DO NOT glue the nut or
the saddle at this time.

Route the string to the inside of the corre-
sponding tuning peg and through the peg
hole. Note—Allow enough string slack to
allow 2-3 complete winds around the tuning
peg.
5.
Turn the tuning button counter-clockwise
to tighten the string. Note—DO NOT over-
tighten the string. Final string tuning will be
discussed later in the manual.
6.
Use wire cutters to cut off the excess string.
7.
Repeat the above process for the remaining
strings.

String Height

Correct string height is crucial for maximizing the
playability of your new guitar. The string height is
defined as the distance between the top face of
the fret and the bottom face of the string (Figure
13).
