Chapter 3 Hardware Installation This chapter details how to install your AMD FirePro V7900 SDI card in your system. Note: AMD recommends that you install/upgrade all AMD FirePro hardware products in your system before you install/upgrade your drivers and the AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) Software Development Kit (SDK).

Your monitor will be running in a basic (VGA) video mode. Higher refresh rates are not available at this stage of the installation. In case of an address conflict, try to modify the I/O address of the add-on card that causes the conflict. To support the special graphics processor on the AMD FirePro card, the system BIOS should automatically assign a system interrupt to the slot where the card is installed.
