Monitor Presets dropdown menu
A range of preset monitoring configurations is provided; click on the
open a drop-down list. These presets allow simple selection of common monitoring configurations.
For the monitor presets to work correctly, you must have your speakers connected to the line outputs
as shown in the table on page 17.
The Monitor Presets function as follows:
• – all monitor control buttons disabled; all analogue outputs are off.
Off
• – only Line Output 3 is enabled. Connect to a centrally-located speaker for working in
Mono
mono.
• – Line Outputs 1 and 2 (Monitor 1 and 2) are enabled. All other channels are muted.
Stereo
Connect Output 1 to your left monitor and 2 to your right.
• – Line Outputs 1, 2, 7 and 8 are enabled. All other channels are muted. Connect Outputs
Quad
1 and 2 as for stereo; Output 7 to Rear Left and 8 to Rear Right.

2.1 Surround
Outputs 1 and 2 as for stereo, and Output 4 to your sub-bass (LFE) speaker.

5.1 Surround
Connect Outputs 1 and 2 as for stereo; Output 3 is the C channel, Outputs 7 and 8 are Left and
Right Surround respectively, and Output 4 is the sub-bass (LFE) channel.

Monitor Section Controls
The controls in Scarlett MixControl's Monitor section will affect those channels that have been
selected for monitor control (i.e., those displaying 'blue' status - see above).
– Line Outputs 1, 2 and 4 are enabled. All other channels are muted. Connect
