PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT
SYSTEM
Principle of Operation
The system prevents someone from
starting the engine with an incorrectly
coded key.
Coded Keys
If you lose a key, you can obtain a
replacement from an authorised dealer. If
possible, provide them with the key
number from the tag provided with the
original keys. You can also obtain extra
keys from an authorised dealer.
Note: Have all of your remaining keys
erased and recoded if you lose a key. Have
replacement keys coded together with
recoding your remaining keys. See an
authorised dealer for further information.
Note: Do not shield your keys with metal
objects. This may prevent the receiver from
recognising a coded key.
Arming the Engine Immobiliser
When you switch the ignition off the engine
immobiliser will arm automatically after a
short time.
Disarming the Engine Immobiliser
When you switch the ignition on the engine
immobiliser will disarm automatically if a
correctly coded key is used.
If you are unable to start the engine with a
correctly coded key, have your vehicle
checked by an authorised dealer.

ANTI-THEFT ALARM

The system will warn you of an
unauthorised entry to your vehicle. It will
be triggered if any door, the luggage
compartment or the bonnet is opened
without using the key or the remote
control.
The park and direction indicators will flash
and the horn will sound if unauthorised
entry is attempted while the alarm is
armed.
Take all remote controls to an authorised
dealer if there is any potential alarm
problem with your vehicle.
Arming the Alarm
The alarm is ready to arm when there is
not a key in the ignition. Lock your vehicle
to arm the alarm.
Disarming the Alarm
Disarm the alarm by:
Unlocking the doors or luggage
compartment with the remote control.
Switching the ignition on or starting the
engine.
Using a key in the driver's door to
unlock your vehicle, then switching the
ignition on within 12 seconds.
