Here's an example for aiming . Suppose you live in Area 2 . You determined
from the maps that your antenna will need to be placed where it has a clear
view of the sky facing North or Northeast . The exact direction is determined
by your specific location in Area 2 relative to the X on the map . If you live in
Texas, you will need a location where the antenna has a clear view of the sky
in a more Northerly direction, whereas if you live in southern California, you
will need a location where the antenna has a clear view of the sky in a more
Northeastern direction .
Once you have determined the direction in which to point your antenna, it's
time to find a location to place it . Refer to "Step 2: Install the Indoor/Outdoor
Antenna" on page 16 for antenna placement suggestions . Remember that you
will be aiming the antenna in the direction you just determined, not south .
