Home Installation There are two parts to setting up your Home Kit . First, connecting the Home Dock to your stereo or powered speakers, then placing and aiming the Home Antenna . Let’s start with getting your Home Dock set up . Step 1: Connect the Home Dock When installing the Home Dock in your home, choose a location in close proximity to your home stereo system or powered speakers, and also where the cable from... - Page 13 Connect the Home Power Adapter Connect the Home Power Adapter to the DC5V connector at the rear of the Home Dock, and plug it into a wall outlet . - Page 16 Home Installation Dock Your Radio If your radio is a Dock & Play model other than the Sportster 3 or Sportster 4, you may want to consider installing the Spacer on the Home Dock for a more snug fit on the back . To install the Spacer, peel the backing off the adhesive strip on the rear of the Spacer and position the Spacer on the Home Dock as shown .

Step 2: Install the Indoor/Outdoor Antenna To begin, try experimenting with the Home Antenna to get a feel for the reception in your location . Move the antenna around the room or from room to room . Aim it from different windows . In major metropolitan areas, you might find that you get great reception in several locations without worrying too much about aim and placement . - Page 18 Home Installation east) and sets (in the west) . If aiming the antenna south does not provide a good signal, or is not possible in your situation, you can try aiming the antenna at different SIRIUS satellites . Begin by looking at the map and determining the area (1 to 5) in which you are located . - Page 24 Home Installation • Area 2: Place the antenna where it has a clear view of the sky facing NORTH or NORTHEAST . • Area 3: Place the antenna where it has a clear view of the sky facing NORTH or NORTHWEST . • Area 4: Place the antenna where it has a clear view of the sky facing WEST or NORTHWEST .

You determined from the maps that your antenna will need to be placed where it has a clear view of the sky facing North or Northeast . The exact direction is determined by your specific location in Area 2 relative to the X on the map .

• If you chose to aim your antenna at the ‘other satellites’ (i .e ., not toward the south), these SIRIUS satellites are not in a fixed place in space (like the south satellite), and move relative to the earth . As a result, the signal strength will vary throughout the day . - Page 29 If you see this on the screen: Try this: Check Antenna Connection • Make sure that the Indoor/Outdoor Antenna cable is firmly and securely plugged into the Home Dock . Make sure the cable is not bent or broken . • If the message persists, most likely the Indoor/ Outdoor Antenna cable has been damaged .
