First, charge the battery prior to use.

Note that the battery of a newly purchased camera is not charged. Perform the steps
below to load the battery into the camera and charge it.
• Your camera requires a special CASIO rechargeable lithium ion battery (NP-150)
for power. Never try to use any other type of battery.

Loading the Battery

1.
Open the cover.
While depressing the [BATT.OPEN]
button, slide the cover in the direction
indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
2.
Load the battery.
With the EXILIM logo on the battery
upwards, load the battery into the
camera as shown in the illustration.
3.
Close the cover.
While holding down the [BATT.OPEN]
button, align the tabs of the cover with the
notches on the camera and then slide the
cover in the direction of the arrow.
