Activating the Power Function

Using the power function you can increase the power of the front left
and back right cooking zones for 10 minutes.
With this function you can, for example, bring a large quantity of wa-
ter rapidly to the boil or brown meat.
To switch on the power function, the cooking zone must be selected
(decimal point in the display). Touch the "Power Function" sensor
. p appears in the display. The power function is now active.

The power function will be activated for a maximum of 10 minutes.
Following this the cooking zone automatically switches to heat
setting 9.
The power function can be switched off in the following way:
• Touching the "Power Function" sensor field
• Touching the sensor field _.

As soon as the power function is activated for the front left cooking
zone, there is less power available for the back left cooking zone. The
back left cooking zone can then reach a maximum of heat setting 8. If
it is set to heat setting 9, the display alternates between 9 and 8 while
the front left cooking zone's power function is active. As soon as the
front left power function has finished (after a max. of 10 minutes), the
back left cooking zone automatically switches to the previously set
heat setting 9.
If the back right cooking zone's power function is activated, the front
right cooking zone can only be operated to a maximum of heat setting
7 during this time. If in this situation the front right cooking zone is set
to a setting higher than 7, the front right cooking zone's display alter-
nates between the different settings (e.g. 7 and 9). As soon as the back
right power function has finished (after a max. of 10 minutes), the
front right cooking zone automatically switches to the previously set
heat setting.
