Finishing Off a Seam

To fasten the threads at the beginning or end of a seam,
press and hold the "Reverse" key q.
OR
To lockstitch threads at the end of a seam, press the
"Auto-Lock" key w after reaching end of seam.

Cutting the Threads

Raise the presser foot. Remove the fabric; pull the
threads to the back and cut threads using the thread
cutter. (The threads are cut the proper length to start the
next seam.)

Changing Sewing Direction

Stop the machine and press the "Up/Down Needle" key
to bring the needle down into the fabric. Raise the
presser foot.
Pivot the fabric around the needle to change sewing
direction. Lower the presser foot. Press the "Up/Down
Needle" key to bring the needle up. Sew in new direction.
