    Safety information SAFETY INFORMATION In the interest of your safety and to ensure the correct use, before installing and first using the appliance, read this user manual carefully, including its hints and warnings. To avoid unnecessary mistakes and accidents, it is important to ensure that all people using the ap- pliance are thoroughly familiar with its operation and safety features.

    Safety information During transportation and installation of the appliance, be certain that none of the com- ponents of the refrigerant circuit become damaged.     Control panel • Unpack the appliance and check if there are damages on it. Do not connect the appli- ance if it is damaged. Report possible damages immediately to the place you bought it. In that case retain packing. • It is advisable to wait at least four hours before connecting the appliance to allow the oil to flow back in the compressor.

Press the ON/OFF button if the display is off. The temperature indicators show the set default temperature.

    Control panel Minute Minder function The Minute Minder function is to be used to set an acoustic alarm at the preferred time, useful for example when a recipe requires to cool down a mixture for a certain lenght of time. To switch on the function: Press the Mode button until the corresponding icon appears.

    Control panel Press the OK button to confirm. The COOLMATIC indicator is shown. The COOLMATIC function shuts off automatically after approximately 6 hours. To switch off the function before its automatic end: Press the Mode button until the COOLMATIC indicator flashes. Press the OK button to confirm.

    Water dispenser Door open alarm An acoustic alarm will sound if the door is left open for a few minutes. The door open alarm conditions are indicated by: • flashing Alarm indicator • acoustic buzzer When normal conditions are restored (door closed), the alarm will stop. During the alarm, the buzzer can be switched off by pressing any button.

    First use Selecting and dispensing water Before dispensing water, select either carbonated water (2) or plain water (3). The actual choice is indicated by the lit button. Water selection can be changed while the water is running. Water is dispensed by pressing a glass or other container towards the flap (6). Draw back the glass or container to stop the water flow.

    Daily use Check that the drain hose at the rear of the cabi- net discharges into the drip tray. DAILY USE Movable shelves The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with a series of runners so that the shelves can be posi- tioned as desired.

    Daily use Bottle rack Place the bottles (with the opening facing front) in the pre-positioned shelf. If the shelf is positioned horizontally, place only closed bottles. This bottle holder shelf can be tilted in order to store previously opened bottles. To obtain this re- sult, pull the shelf up so it can rotate upwards and be placed on the next higher level.

    Care and cleaning If you want to check the temperature of food stored in the refrigerator, place a glass of water centrally in the cabinet, and put a proper ther- mometer with an accuracy of +/– 1 °C into it. Af- ter 6 hours the temperature can be monitored.

    Care and cleaning Many proprietary kitchen surface cleaners contain chemicals that can attack/damage the plastics used in this appliance. For this reason use a soft cloth rinsed in warm water and neutral soap emulsion for cleaning external surfaces. Do not use detergents or abrasive paste as these will damage the paint, or stainless steel anti finger print coating.

    Installation This work is to be carried out by a skilled plumber. There are different type-approved taps and tap assemblies on the market. The water hose must not be cracked, squeezed or put in tight bends. Before the appliance is placed its final location, ensure that the water connection has been correctly carried out, that there is no leakage at the connection to the water tap.
  • Page 24 Installation Open the air lever flap. Take the filter out of the plastic bag. Insert the filter in the slot found in the back of the air lever flap. Close the air lever flap. The filter should be handled carefully so fragments do not loosen from the surface.
