    Panel Controls SETUP METRO TEMPO VOLUME ACCOMP VOLUME The elegant control panel is divided into several distinct sections. The following is a brief description of all the features located on the control panel. POWER SWITCH — The power switch is located to the left of the keyboard. Press the button to turn the power on and off.
  • Page 8 SYNCH START START/STOP INTRO/ENDING FILL IN VARIATION ACCOMP SYNC START — Synchronized Start mode sets the auto accompaniment into standby mode. When the SYNC START button is pressed the indicator lights above the tempo will flash to the Tempo of the selected rhythm style. The rhythm style will start as soon as you play in the auto accompaniment section of the keyboard.

    Piano Pedals q w e SOFT PEDAL — When the left pedal is engaged the piano volume is reduced and the timbre slightly altered on the notes that are played. SOSTENUTO PEDAL— The function of it is similar with the sustain pedal. However when playing notes and then engaging the middle pedal, the notes will be sustained.

    Demo Songs There are thirteen demonstration songs in this piano. 1. Play All Demo Songs — Press the DEMO button. The first demo song will playback instantly. If left untouched all thirteen songs will play back consecutively until you DEMO press the DEMO button again to stop the demonstration.

    User Defined Quick Selection Button If you press the User Button it will recall the current stored Voice Selection. You can assign a favorite instrument voice to this User Button in the following manner. 1. Press and hold the USER button until the indicator flashes. USER 1 2.

    Lower Voice In the Lower, or “split, ” mode the keyboard is divided into two sections. To the right of the Split Point the currently selected main voice, and the layer voice (if engaged) will sound. The keys to the left of the Split Point can play a different instrument voice. 1.

    Variation To select the variation of the main patterns, press the VARIATION button. The indicator will light up. If you press the VARIATION button, then press the INTRO/ VARIATION ENDING button, the variation pattern will play after the introduction. Fill - In The fill feature will insert a short rhythmic pattern of one to two measures in length, depending on the rhythm style selected and the variation.

    Auto Accompaniment Auto Accompaniment (Auto Bass Chord) — The rhythm styles have their own auto accompaniment, dedicated to that rhythm style. These auto accompaniments patterns create fully orchestrated rhythm, bass and chord progressions based on the chords that you play with your left hand.

    Seventh Chord: Press the root key and one key to its left (7th key) in the auto accompaniment section of the keyboard simultaneously. Minor-Seventh Chord: Press the root key and both the first and second keys to its left in the auto accompaniment section of the keyboard simultaneously. Fingered Mode The fingered mode is ideal if you already know how to play chords on the keyboard.

    Piano Chord Mode When the Piano fingering chord mode is engaged you may enter chords anywhere on the keyboard, and the auto accompaniment will make complete styled arrangements. You are not limited to the auto accompaniment section or the range of the split point.

    Synchronized Start — Synchronized Start mode makes the auto accompaniment standby. The auto accompaniment will start as soon as you play a recognized chord SYNCH START in the auto accompaniment section of the keyboard. 1. Press the SYNC START button, the beat indicator dots above the TEMPO buttons will blink at the current tempo, indicating that the synchronized start mode is ready.

    5. Stop Recording - Press the PLAY/STOP button, the REC button or the recording track button to stop recording. The REC indicator turns off and the recorded track PLAY/STOP indicator is lit to show the track now contains data. Note: When the record memory is full, recording will stop automatically and “FUL” will appear on the LED display.

    Play Along Songs There are 55 songs built into this Suzuki Piano for your musical enjoyment. These songs have separate left and right-hand parts that can be turned on and off as required so you can practice the corresponding part on the piano.

    Practicing The Left Hand Of The Selected Song Follow steps 1–5 listed above, substituting the LEFT button whenever RIGHT button is mentioned.     Function Mode The Function Mode gives you access to other features on your piano. Press the SETUP button to enter this piano’s functionality setup mode. Press the SETUP button repeatedly to select a new Function item thus allowing you SETUP to edit or engage the selected function by using the –/NO +/YES button.

    Reverb Type Reverb simulates the effect of playing in a big room or hall where the sound reverberates off the walls and ceiling. The reverb effect is engaged automatically REVERB when the power is turned on. You can switch the reverb feature on and off by pressing the REVERB button.
