speakers. To operate the system...
• Connect the system as shown in the illustration.
• Set the input level control of the EON PowerSubs fully CCW (counter clock wise).
• Adjust the system as described on the Quick Start section of this guide.
• Slowly bring up the level controls of the EON PowerSubs until the desired balance is achieved.

Recording a Live Performance

There are a number of ways in which the MusicMix 16 may be used to make a live recording of a
performance. When making such a recording it is important to remember that the recording may
not sound like the actual performance. This is because the recording will only include the sound
that is picked up by the microphones (or direct inputs to the mixer). Instruments that are heard
acoustically in the venue may not be captured to tape. For example, a vocalist singing into a micro-
phone will be recorded onto tape just fine. But the bass guitar amp (which sounds great in the
venue) is not going directly to the mixer so the only way it gets onto tape is by bleeding into the
vocal microphone. The result will be lots of vocals and not much bass guitar. Details on live
recording are beyond the scope of this User's Guide, but the following information will help you
understand how to take advantage of the features of your MusicMix 16 mixer.
