    Introduction Welcome to the world of CB radio communication. Your Uniden PRO 340XL represents the most advanced portable radio ever designed for use in the Citizens Band Radio Service.     Controls And Functions Front View — LED lights to indicate when the radio TX Indicator is transmitting. — Lights when the batteries become BATT LOW weak and need to be replaced. Indicator — A large LED display shows the current Channel Display channel in use.

    Operation Before operating the PRO 340XL: 1. Be sure you read and understand Part 95 of the FCC Rules and Regulations. 2. Be sure that the batteries and antenna are properly installed. 3. Turn the unit on by sliding the power switch up to the ON position.

    Care And Maintenance is designed to give you years of trouble-free PRO 340XL service. There are no user-serviceable parts inside and except for the batteries, no maintenance is required. NOTE: Do not expose the unit to moisture. Rain, dew, road splash, or other liquids may damage the internal components.
