Before You Call For Service

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Door not properly
closed
Door is opened during
the cycle when the water
is hot
Child Lockout Mode
is selected
Fuse is blown, or the
circuit breaker tripped
Power supply not
connected
Some of the sounds you
will hear are normal:
• Detergent cup opening
• Water draining out of
the tub after touching a
keypad or starting a cycle
Utensils are not secure in • Make sure everything is secured in
the rack or something
small has dropped into
the rack
Foreign material in
the sump
Dishes are blocking the
detergent cups
Disposer knock-out plug
has not been removed
Drain is clogged
Correct detergent was
not used
Chef 's Washer
WHAT TO DO
• Press door until it clicks shut.
• Relatch door. Wait a few minutes; Chef's
Washer will start automatically after the
temperature stabilizes.
• Press and hold desired button for two
seconds to activate. See Child Lockout Mode
section for more details.
• Reset the circuit breaker.
• Replace fuse or reset circuit breaker.
Remove any other appliances from the circuit.
• Check that the Chef's Washer is plugged in
and the switch is on.

• Clean the filters/foreign objects cover.
• Reposition the dishes.
• Remove knock-out plug.
• Clean air gap (if applicable).
• If the Chef's Washer drains into a disposer,
run disposer to assure it is draining properly.
• Check to see if your kitchen sink is draining
well. If not, you may need a plumber.
• Use only automatic dishwasher detergents
to avoid sudsing.
• To remove suds from the tub, open the
Chef's Washer and let suds evaporate. Add
1 gallon of cold water to the tub.
For 7000 series models:
• Pump out water by pressing the NORMAL
WASH button, then press start.
• Close the door until it locks into place.
• Wait for one minute, then carefully
open the door and hold down the
START/CANCEL button for three seconds.
