The heat setting changes
between two levels.
The sensor fields become
hot.
There is no signal when
you touch the panel sen-
sor fields.
The backlight is on, but
the contrast of the display
is bad.
II and text come on.

Problem
Possible cause
The Power management
is activated.
The cookware is too large
or you put it too near to
the controls.
The signals are deactiva-
ted.
The hot cookware is on
the display.
The Automatic Switch Off
operates.
The Child Safety Device
or the Lock function op-
erates.
No cookware is on the
cooking zone.
The cookware is incor-
rect.
The diameter of the bot-
tom of the cookware is
too small for the cooking
zone.
The cookware does not
cover the cross / square.
There is an error in the
appliance.
Remedy
Refer to "Power manage-
ment".
Put large cookware on
the rear cooking zones if
necessary.
Activate the signals (refer
to "Deactivation and acti-
vation of the sounds").
Remove the object and
let the appliance become
sufficiently cool. If the
contrast is not clear,
speak to the service cen-
tre.
Deactivate the appliance
and activate it again.
Refer to the chapter "Dai-
ly Use".
Put cookware on the
cooking zone.
Use the correct cook-
ware.
Use cookware with cor-
rect dimensions.
Cover the cross / square
fully.
Disconnect the appliance
from the electrical supply
for some time. Discon-
nect the fuse from the
electrical system of the
house. Connect it again.
If E comes on again,
speak to the service cen-
tre.
