For Fax/Tel mode only

When the machine is in Fax/Tel mode, it will
8
use the F/T Ring Time (fast double-ringing) to
alert you to pick up a voice call.
Lift the external telephone's handset
(MFC-1810 and MFC-1811 only) or the
machine (MFC-1815 only), and then press
Hook or Hook/Hold to answer.
Using a non-Brother cordless
8
external handset
If your non-Brother cordless telephone is
connected to the telephone line cord (see
Connecting an external or extension
telephone on page 48) and you typically carry
the cordless handset elsewhere, it is easier to
answer calls during the Ring Delay.
If you let the machine answer first, lift the
cordless handset and then go to the machine
so you can press Hook or Hook/Hold to
transfer the call to the cordless handset.
NOTE
Not all brands of cordless telephones are
compatible for use with your machine.
