4.4.
Programming the Communication Mode
Several communication modes are possible:
• RS232 (default mode)
• Keyboard-Wedge
• OCIA
• RS485
• USB interface
The most commonly used communication modes are listed in the IS1000 First Installation
and Quick and Easy Set-up Bar Code Menu.
The other modes are described in the IS1000 Configuration Guide.
Depending on the communication interface (other than RS232), it is mandatory to know
the connection number (ID) corresponding to your application.
This connection ID depends on the interface and hardware used.
It is given in the IS1000 Connection List.
To configure the communication mode, refer to the IS1000 Configuration Guide.
