Safety Information

Please take these safety precautions i nto consideration under the following conditions :
1. Servicing the vehicle
When servicing your automobil e (i . e. changi n g the oil , washing your car), the
Compustar system shoul d be i n Valet Mode. There is a safety shutdown switch under
the hood that deactivates the remote starter functi on if the hood is open.
However, if the sw itch has been dam aged or the switch has been i n stal led im properly,
the vehicle may start when the button i s pressed for 2 seconds, even if the hood is
open.
2. Loani n g your vehicl e to others
Whenever you l o an your vehicl e to an i n divi dual who i s not familiar with Com pustar,
you may want to put the vehicle i n Valet mode. This wil l pr event the borrower from
acci d entall y activating the Compustar auto-securi t y system.
3. For manual transmissi o n vehicles
If the Compustar is i n stall ed i n a manual transmi ssi o n vehicl e , extra precautions ar e
r equired because the Com pustar does not monitor the gear shifter :
Under normal circum stances, Reservation Mode i s cancelled
I m p o r t a n t !
when a door or hatchback opens. Pl ease verify that the opening
of any door or hatchback cancel s Reservati on Mode. If any of the doors or hatchback
ar e not monitored by the Compustar because of i m proper i nstallati o n or a faul ty dome
l i g ht switch, do not use the the Com pustar and take your vehicle immediately to the
deal er for repair. D o not set Reservation Mode i f the wi n dow(s) are open or i f there is
anyone inside the vehicle, thi s includes animals. Remote start instal lation in a manual
transmission vehicle wi th a convertible top is not recommended.

Remote Learn Routine

The CompuStar system will allow up to three remotes to be programmed to one
vehicle. Please perform the following procedure to add or reprogram additional
remotes.

Panic, Press to shut off.
