How to reset
To reset the CompuSTAR R1600, follow these steps to reprogram the remote:
1. Turn the ignition on and off five times between ACC and On within 7 seconds to enter programming mode.
2. Within 7 seconds after the 5th ignition cycle, press the remote button for 0.5 seconds.
3. The parking lights will flash once to confirm the transmitter is programmed.
4. Exit the vehicle and close the door within two minutes.
5. The engine will shut off, completing the remote starter programming.
If the system is in valet mode and not responding, press the lock (red) button and the trunk release button at the same time for 0.5 seconds. The parking lights should flash twice to exit valet mode.
