Step 2: Install Batteries in the
Remote Control
F o ll ow th e s e steps wh e n e v e r y o u n e e d to in s t a ll o r c hange
the batteries in your VCR's remote:
1. Remove the cover of the battery compartment.
2. Place the batteries into the remote's back panel. Match
t h e p o s i ti v e ( + ) an d n e g a tiv e ( -) e n ds o f e a c h b a t t ery t o
t h e di a g r a m i nsi d e th e b a tte r y co m p a rtm e n t .
3. Replace the cover.
Step 3: Connect the VCR
lf yo u connect you r V C R to y o u r h o m e a n te n n a o r c a bl e
system and then to your TV, use the VCR's ANT. lN and
OUT TO TV jacks for a good signal as shown to the right.
lf you have a TV with AUDIO|/IDEO jacks, use the jacks for
a better connection. Refer to the section, Connections,
t o wa r d th e b a ck of the m a n u a l, fo r a d dit io n a l c o n n e ct ion
o p tions.
Step 4: Plug in the VCR
Y o u r VCR's p o wer c o r d h a s a p l a s tic b a n d s tru n g t h ro ugh
the blades. Remove plastic band before plugging the
cord into the power outlet. To remove band, cut with a
p a i r of sc i ss or s a n d p u l l i t fr e e o f th e b l ad e s . O n c e th e
plastic is removed, match the wide blade of the power
cord to the wide slot in the AC outlet. Be sure to insert the
p lug com p l et el y .
