Using Two VCRs For Copying and
Editing Tapes
Use one VCR as the playback VCR and the other as the
recording VCR.
1. Co n n e c t t h e VC Rs usi n g th e d ia g r a m a t th e rig h t.
2. Turn on both VCRs and the connected TV.

4 . l f usi ng coaxia l c a b le s fo r th e c o n n e c tio n , tu n e t h e
recording VCR to channel 3 or 4-the one used by the
playback VCR.

recording VCR (L1for the jacks on the back of the VCR
or L2 for the jacks on the front of the VCR).
5. lnsert the tape to be copied into the playback VCR.
Insert a blank tape with its safety tab in place into the
recording VCR.
6 . Using visua l sear ch , lo c a te th e s e g m e n t t o b e c o p ie d
on the playback VCB. Pause the tape at this location.
7. Press RECORD on the recording VCR, then PAUSE.
8 . Pr e ss PAU SE o n b o th VC Rs to b e g in c op y in g .
9. Press PAUSE on both VCRs to stop copying.
10. Repeat steps 6-9 to copy or edit additional segments.
Connecting Two VGRs

The VCRs used in this diagram may not match the two
VCBs you use. Make sure to connect OUT to lN jacks and
vtce-versa.
Also, make sure to match up the types of jacks (R jacks
are connected to R jacks, L to L, and VIDEO to VIDEO).
