Charging the battery

You can charge the GPS 9553 Series using the power adapter or the cigarette
lighter adapter as illustrated:
• Connect the smaller end of
the USB cable to the
GPS 9553 Series and the
larger end to the power
adapter. Plug the adapter
into an available wall out-
let to charge the battery.
• Connect the smaller end of
the USB cable to the
GPS 9553 Series and the
larger end to the cigarette
lighter adapter. Plug the
adapter into the car's ciga-
rette lighter jack to charge
the battery.
