v If an action step is preceded by "(Trained service technician only)," that step must
be performed only by a trained service technician.

5962 IDE DVD drive configuration error.
8603 Pointing-device error.
00012000 Processor machine check error.
00019xxx Microprocessor x is not functioning
or failed the built-in self-test.
Action
1. Run the Configuration/Setup
Utility program and load the
default settings (see "Using the
Configuration/Setup Utility
program" on page 26).
2. Reseat the following
components:
a. DVD drive cable
b. DVD drive
3. Replace the following
components one at a time, in
the order shown, restarting the
server each time:
a. DVD drive cable
b. DVD drive
c. (Trained service technician
only) System board
1. Reseat the pointing device.
2. Replace the following
components one at a time, in
the order shown, restarting the
server each time:
a. Pointing device
b. (Trained service technician
only) System board
1. (Trained service technician
only) Reseat the
microprocessor.
2. Replace the following
components one at a time, in
the order shown, restarting the
server each time:
a. (Trained service technician
only) Microprocessor
b. (Trained service technician
only) System board
Make sure that microprocessor x is
installed correctly. If the problem
remains, call for service.
