Before You Call For Service...
Troubleshooting Tips
Save time and money! Review the charts on the following
pages first and you may not need to call for service.
Problem
TEMP LTD appears
in the display
Surface unit is
glowing hot when it
should be on a low
power setting
"F" and a number
appear in the display
and the cooktop beeps

Possible Causes
Time-Out feature activated.
Cooktop feature activated.
You have a function
error code.
What To Do
• Allow the surface unit(s) to cool for 1/2 to 1 hour
before using again.
• The cooktop has a rapid heat-up feature and is
designed to do this.
• Write down the "F:- - -" and touch the CONTROL
LOCK pad. Disconnect the power to the cooktop and
then reconnect. If an F-code appears again, call for
service.
