Possible Causes
You forgot to enter a
bake temperature or
cleaning time.
Oven controls improperly set.
Rack position is incorrect
or the rack is not level.
Oven thermostat needs
adjustment.
Oven door is open.
Oven controls improperly set.
Improper rack position
being used.
Cookware not suited
for broiling.
In some areas the power
voltage may be low.
A fuse in your home may be
blown or the circuit breaker
tripped.

The clock is in the
black-out mode.
What To Do
• Press the Bake pad and desired temperature or the
Self Clean pad and desired clean time.
• See the Using the lower oven section.
• See the Using the lower oven section.
• See the Adjust the lower oven thermostat—Do it yourself!
section.
• Close the door. This model is designed for closed door
broiling only. Always broil with the door closed.
• Make sure you press the Broil Hi/Lo pad.
• See the Broiling Guide.
• For best results, use a pan designed for broiling.
• Preheat the broil element for 10 minutes.
• Broil for the longest period of time recommended in
the Broiling Guide.
• Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
• See the Using the clock and lower oven timer section
for the lower oven clock.
• See the Display On/Off section for the microwave oven clock.
• See the Special features of your lower oven control
section for the lower oven clock.
