If your VCD or SVCD disc has been recorded with a PBC (Playback NOTICE: Control) track, your JD-VD502 will display that information as a menu system on the TV screen, which provides convenience when choosing which part of the disc's contents will be played. Bear in mind that the PBC information must be on the disc for the menu to be displayed. -

Basic playback Playing an MP3 disc: 1.Place the MP3 in the disc compartment. 2.After the unit reads the contents of the MP3 disc, the TV screen will display the menu in the manner shown below: 00:00 00:00 001/008 folder 01 folder 01 folder 01 folder 01... - Page 10 Basic Playback 1 [POWER] Press this key to turn the JD-VD502's power on and off. 2 [OPEN/CLOSE] Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the tray, and then place the disc on it. Additional Information Care of disc: Do not touch the disc's recorded surface. Do not add labels or adhesive tape to the discs. Cleaning of discs: Finger prints or stains on the surface of the disc will directly affect signal recording and result in a poorer picture quality. Therefore, please use a soft cloth and wipe in a radiating manner from the center to the outer rims when cleaning the disc.
