Troubleshooting

This section deals with problems you may have with Vivid!XS. For more information, refer to the
documentation on the CD.
After installing Vivid!XS my computer does not restart
This could be because an old graphics card is still active in your computer. Remove your old card
or disable your onboard video. You may have to refer to your computer's documentation for
instructions on how to do this.
Make sure the card is properly seated in the slot.
There is no display when I turn my computer back on
Make sure you have reconnected the monitor cable correctly.

There is no picture on my TV
Ensure you have correctly installed the driver software, see page 4.
Check that the cables and adapters used to connect to your TV are secure.
Check that your TV or video is set to use the S-Video or Composite video input rather than
conventional aerial input. Some TVs automatically select this for you, others may require you to
access an on-screen menu or use a manual switch.
When I record DVD movies to my VCR the picture is distorted
Most DVD discs incorporate Macrovison copy protection which prevents unauthorised copying.
