Problem: Black marks on the page.
Solution:
Check PC Drum for scratches. Clean bottom of the developer unit.
If the black marks appear twice on the page, about 7 1/2 inches apart, the problem is on Drum. Try
another drum to see if the problem goes away.
Cleaning the printer is another possible solution. Turn the printer off, take out the PC Drum and put it
in its case. As you look straight into the machine, you will see a roller with a lot of toner on it.
DON'T EVER WIPE THAT OFF however, that roller sits inside a black unit (the developer). The very
bottom of that unit can accumulate toner and get onto the face of the page. With a cloth, wipe the
very bottom of that unit. Get as close as possible to the roller with all the toner on it without wiping it.
Reason:
Toner on the roller rolls out and around onto the bottom of the developer unit. When the page goes
through the machine, the toner fall onto the page. If you find toner here you want to also follow the
next set of instructions.
