Changing the video signal format

Depending on the country you use this DVD player in, you may need to change
the video signal format to match the television and DVD being played. In the
United States and Canada, NTSC is the video signal format used. In Europe,
Australia, and Asia, PAL is the video signal format used.
Important
To change the video signal format:
With the disc stopped, press NTSC/PAL on the remote control. Each time
this button is pressed, the video signal format changes as follows: MULTI,
NTSC, and PAL.
If you select MULTI, both NTSC and PAL encoded discs are played.
The information in this section only applies to DVD video
discs.
If the video signal format is not set correctly, you may get
a distorted picture on your television or no picture at all.
