- Page 3 Start by running a cable from your bass to the Bass Tube Marker input jack, and run another cable from the pedal output to your amp, setting all the pedal’s controls to the 12 o’clock position. Turn on the effect by stepping on the footswitch, and dial in the amount of distortion desired by adjusting the DRIVE knob. Adjust the tone as you like with the TONE knob, and use the LEVEL knob to set the desired volume level of the effect.
