A. This appliancehas a pilot which mustbe lighted by

phone.Followthe gassupplier's instructions.

knob. Neverusetools. If the knobwill not pushin or

water.Immediately cell a qualifiedservicetechnician
to inspecttheappliance and to replaceanypart of the
central systemand any gas controlwhichhas been
underwater.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. STOPIReadthe safetyinformation aboveon thislabel.
2. Remove outerdoor.
3. Set the thermostat to lowest setting by turning the
watertemperature dialclockwise, ( F'_)
to its lowest
temperature setting (witharrowon dial)as shown,DO
NOT FORCE,
4. Turngas centrul knobclockwise_J'*
to "OFF" posi-
tion. Knob cannot be turned from "PILOT" to "OFF"
unlessknob Is depressedslightly.DO NOT FORCE.

5. Wait five (5) minutesto clear out any gas. if you then
smell gas, STOP!Follow"B" in the safetyinformation
above on this label If you don't smell gas, go to the
nextstep.
6. Remove(or open) inner door locatedbelow the gas
controlunit. (Figure8, page19)
7. Rnd pilot-follow instaltube from gascontrol The pilot
s ocatedonthe r ght hands deof theburner.

9. Push in control knob all the way and hold down.
Immediately light the pilot with a match.Continue to
hold control knob in for about one (1) minuteafter
the pilot is lit. Releaseknoband it will pop backup.
Pilot shouldremainlit. If it goes out, repeat steps3
through8.
• If knobdoes not pop up when released,stop and
immediatelycall your service technicianor gas
supplier.
• If the pilot will not stay lit after several tries,
depressand turnthe gas controlknobclockwise

10. Replace(or close) innerdoor. Replaceouter door if
door does not covergas controlon/offknobor tem-
perature adjustment k nob.(Figure8, page19)
11. At armslengthaway,turngas controlknobcounter-

to the full "ON" position,

12. At arms length away,set the thermostatto desired
setting. The mark( • ) HOTindicative of approximate
120°F Is preferredstarting point. Somelocal laws
mayrequire
s towerstarting" point. If hotter. ,,water i s
desired,see instruction manualand"warning below.
13. Replace the outerdoorif notreplacedin step10.
WARNING
Hotterwater increasesthe risk of scald injury. Beforechangingtemperature settingsee instructionmanual.
TO TURN
OFF GAS TO APPLIANCE
