Mineral buildup or sediment may have accumulated in the I I old water heater. This causes the water heater to be much heavier than normal and this residue, if spilled out, could I cause staining. ODisconnect the vent pipe from the draft hood where they connect to the water heater. -

• The location selected should be indoors as close as'practical to the gas vent or chimney to which the water heater vent is going to be connected, and as centralized with the _ater pip- ing system as possible. The water heater, as all water heaters, will eventually leak. -

Installation Combustion Air and Ventilation for Appliances Located in Unconfined Spaces Uncomemed Space is a space whose volume is not less than 50 cubic feet per 1,000 Btu per hour of the aggregate input rating of all appliances installed in that space. Rooms communicating directly with the space in which the appliances are installed, through openings not furnished with doors, are considered a part of the unconfined space. -
