However, w ith the followingtips,you can increasethe
1.DOOR REMAINS LOCKED DURING DRYING: Thedoor
is electronically kept locked drying cycle, with the
Mode+Door Locklighton. Thisprevents anystartingand
shuttingthe heater,whichin turn conserves energyby
trapping theheat.
2.FABRIC SOFTENER: When theWash andDry cycles are
setto runconsecutively, the preheat f unction comeson
automatically. Inthis,theheater i sturned onduring thelast
spincycleof the washprogram.In the RegularWash
program, theclothes willbegetting spun at1,200 rpm,while
hotairfromthedryerwillbeentering thedrumatthesame
time.Whilecentrifugal forcecausesclothes to sticktothe
sides ofthedrum, t hehotairwill"bake" t hemtothesides. I t
maytake30minutes or morefortheclothes tounstick and
fallintothedrum. U SING LIQUID FABRIC SOFTENERWILL

WRINKLES.
3.OVERLOADmNG: The drum has a capacity of
12 Ibs.Whilethis is the largestdrumavailable on any
combination washerodryer, itissmalbrthana standard U .S.
washer. Thedrumshould notbeoverloaded. Withtoomany
clothes,airflowis reduced, i ncreasing dryingtime. A
maximum of2/3ofthedrumfullofclothes is recommeded
forideal d rying.
4.OVER DRYING: Thismachine usesacondensing d ryer.
inthiscoldwaterisused tocondense t hemoisture from the
hot air. Sincethereis no external e xhaustsystem, t he
moisture remains i nthemachine. Frequently, when itseems
theclothes aredamp, i t isactually theremaining m oisture
(likedew). T akeclothes outandwithina fewminutes they
willbedry.Donotoverdry theclothes.
5.USE LOW SUDSING DETERGENT: Byusing lowsudsing
detergent,you are preventing suds fromenteringthe
condensing chamber. Whensudsenterthe condensing
chamber, lintparticles canclogupthechamber andthefan
blower. O vertime,thisreduces dryingefficiency a ndmay
require thefanblower ( impeller) tobecleaned.

1. The washer must be installed on a strong level floor, and in
protected, dry, and well-ventilated area close to a power and
water supply of sufficient capacity.
2. Installation on Carpet or Wood increases vibrations.
* Carpets oplace on light carpet only.
, Wood - brace floor with screws and place additional sheets
of plywood before installation.
3. Dryer installation and grounding should be done in
accordance with local codes by a qualified installer.
'Installation instructions" are included in your Use and Care
manual for the Installer' s reference.
4. The washer should be plugged into a properly grounded
three (3) prong electrical outlet of 120 Volt, 1300 W, 13 A,
60 Hz. it should not be controlled by a wall switch or pull
cord which might be turned off accidentally.
