approved forgrounding.

4. A standard ' /2" conduit o pening h asbeen madein the
water h eater junction boxfortheconduit connection.
5. Usewirenuts andconnect thepower s upply wiringto
thewiresinside thewaterheater's junction box.
6. Thewaterheater m ustbeelectrically " grounded" b y
theinstaller. A green ground screw hasbeen provided
on thewaterheater's j unctionbox.Connect ground
wiretothislocation.
7. Replace the wiringjunctioncoverusingthe screw
provided.

installed,

to an adequate
drain?

heater completely
filled
with
water? See

5. Will a water leak damage anything? See "Locating

6. Are the cold and hot water lines connected
to the water
heater correctly? See "Water
Piping" instructions
in the
"Installing
the New Water Heater" section.
7. Is there adequate
clearance
for maintenance
around
the water heater?
8. Do you need to call your electric
company
to check
your wiring?
