First:

name on disc" on page 62 to
display the Disc Edit menu.
When inserting <DVD+RW> disc.

Erase Disc
Make Edits Compatible
When inserting
<DVD+R/DVD-R> disc.

Disc Protect OFF ON
Finalize
When inserting <DVD-RW> disc.
