Validating The System Software On The CSN

The Compatibility Manager (CM) application, installed on the CSN, keeps track of critical software and hardware
components in the CSN system. By default, the DX Monitoring (DXM) tool executes the CM once a day and a report is
sent by e-mail (if configured). The CM report contains a list of all the software components with a status. This report is
sent out only if a problem is detected with the system software.
You can also find this report at: /var/log/inventoryLog.log
The report contains the version of the DX system software along with an overall status. CM supports the following
states:
OK — All components are at the right level.
WARNING — A non-critical component's version does not match the expected version list.
CRITICAL — A critical component's version does not match the expected list.
In the case of WARNING and CRITICAL states, the inventory log provides details about component version(s) that do not
match. In most cases, updating the system software or repairing the system software can resolve the issue. For more
information, see

You can also execute the CM manually on the CSN using the following command:
/opt/dell/dellACM/dellacmscr.sh -force -report
