This option allows you to delete all the data
and reformats (initializes) the SmartMedia for
use with this camera.

Formatting deletes all the data on the
SmartMedia. If the "7" message appears

on the LCD, wipe the contact area (gold-
P o i n t
colored section) on the SmartMedia
thoroughly with a soft dry cloth and then
reinsert the SmartMedia. If the "7"
message still appears, format the SmartMedia.
