SETTING THE FILE SIZE AND QUALITY ( COMPRESSION RATIO )

You can select any combination of 3 file size
settings and 4 quality (compression ratio) settings
according to the type of shot you want to take.
To p roduce hi g h- q ualit y p rints
Use no compression [ HI ] or a low compression ratio
[ FINE or NORMAL ] with the largest possible file
size setting. However, because this increases the
amount of data in each frame, the remaining
number of available frames is reduced.
For use on the Internet
These images are intended to be viewed on a
personal computer screen, so you should use a
small file size [ 640 ✕ 480 ] . Because this reduces the
amount of data in each frame, the remaining
number of available frames is increased.
Qualit y ( compression ratio )
Select " HI " or " FINE " for better image quality and
" BASIC " to increase the number of available shots.
In most cases, the " NORMAL " setting provides
more than adequate image quality.
When the mode switch is set to "
