The Sleep function does not operate in SET-UP or Playback mode, but the camera will turn off if it
is left unused for a set some time (2 minutes or 5 minutes).

When this function is enabled, the screen
temporarily turns off (Sleep mode) and the indicator
lamp (green) blinks at 1-second intervals to save
power if the camera is not used for 30 seconds. If
the camera remains unused for an additional interval
(2 minutes or 5 minutes), it is turned off. Use this
function when you want to get the maximum
possible running time from your batteries.

The Power save setting is disabled during automatic
playback, during rechargeable battery discharging and when
a USB connection is being used.
When the camera is in Sleep mode, pressing the
Shutter button down halfway wakes the camera up.

Pressing any other button as well as the Shutter button
wakes the camera up.

When the Auto power off function has shut the
camera down (after 2 minutes or 5 minutes):
1 Set the Power switch to "OFF".

Initialize (format) the media for use with the camera.
Because initializing the media erases all the frames
(files), including protected frames (files), copy
important frames (files) that you do not want to be
erased to your computer or another media.
1 Press "d" or "c" to select "OK".
2 Pressing the "MENU/OK" button erases all the
frames (files) and initializes the media.

Overview of the conversion lens/adapter ring
Wide conversion lens WL-FX9/WL-FX9B
This is a set that includes a wide conversion lens and adapter ring and converts the camera's focal
length by 0.79 times (equal to a 28 mm wide-angle lens). This set also allows you to use commercially
available filters.

Use the lens at the wide-angle zoom setting (equal to 28 mm-46 mm).
When using the lens at the telephoto setting, the image is distorted and not be in focus.

Teleconversion lens TL-FX9/TL-FX9B
This is a set that includes a teleconversion lens and adapter ring. This accessory increases the focal
length of your lens by 1.5 times (equal to a 315 mm telephoto lens) without changing its F-stop value.
