You've read the chapter on getting ready and the
camera is now set up and ready to take pictures.
The Basic Photography section explains the three
basic steps of "taking pictures", "viewing pictures"
and "erasing pictures". Master the basic steps by
actually trying them out on the camera as you go.

When you are taking shots using the viewfinder,
you can make the battery last longer by pressing
the "DISP" button to switch the LCD monitor off.
(Note that you cannot switch the LCD monitor off
in Macro mode.)
