• If the frame number reaches 999-9999, the shutter
release will be disabled (pg. 120).
• Selecting s RESET (pg. 98) resets b FRAME
NO. to CONTINUOUS but does not reset frame
numbering.
• Frame numbers for pictures taken with other
cameras may differ.

Press the selector up or down to choose volume
for movie and voice memo playback and press
MENU/OK to select.

Press the selector up or down to choose display
brightness and press MENU/OK to select.

AUTO POWER OFF

Choose the length of time before the camera
turns off automatically when no operations
are performed. Shorter times increase battery
life; if OFF is selected, the camera must be
turned off manually. Note that regardless of the
option selected, the camera will not turn off
automatically when connected to a printer (pg.
56) or computer (pg. 65) or when a slide show is
in progress (pg. 86).
B Tip: Reactivating the Camera
• To reactivate the camera after it has turned off
automatically, use the n button or press the
D button for about a second (pg. 11).
