Message Alert Type
This menu allows you to specify how the phone informs you of incoming messages. Use the Right or Left key to
select an Alert type.
The following options are available:
– Off:
– Melody: the phone rings using the ring melody selected in the Messages Tone menu.
– Vibration: the phone vibrates but does not ring.
– Vibration then Melody: the phone vibrates and then starts ringing.
Messages Tone
This menu allows you to select a message alert melody. Highlight Messages Tone and press
Down navigation keys to highlight a tone. Press Play to listen to the file, Select to confirm a selection.
Messages Alert Repetition
This menu selects whether the message alert repeats. The options are: Once, Every 1 min, Every 2 mins.
Keypad Tone
This menu allows you to select the tone sounded when keys are pressed (Lucid, Beep, or Voice) and the Volume
level (0-7). Use the Up or Down Navigation keys to highlight a selection. Press Play to listen to the file, Select to
confirm a selection, Save to save the change.
Power-On/Off Tone
This menu allows you to select whether the phone plays a melody when it is switched on and off.
To turn the sound on, use the Up and Down navigation keys to highlight Tone 1. Press Play to listen to the file,

Save to confirm the selection.
To turn off the sound, use the Up and Down navigation keys to highlight Off and press Save.

Slide Tone
This menu allows you to choose the sound played when sliding the phone open or closed (Off, Tone 1, Tone 2, Tone
3 or Tone 4). Use the Up and Down navigation keys to highlight a selection. Press Play to listen to a file, Save to
confirm your selection.
Display Settings
In this menu, you can change various settings for the display.
